Brendan M. Wahl, age 69, of Warsaw, a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on August 18, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Leonard A. and Mary Beth (Croxall) Wahl. Brendan was a proud 1974 graduate of Lawrence Central High School, where he laid the foundations for a life filled with hard work and dedication.
Throughout his career, Brendan was known as a self-employed construction contractor, leading a life defined by his craftsmanship and commitment to quality. His skills were not only a profession but a true passion, reflecting his identity as a master craftsman. Brendan’s work ethic earned him the respect of many in the community and allowed him to create lasting relationships in the industry.
Outside of his thriving career, Brendan was an avid cyclist and mountain biker, often spending time exploring trails and enjoying nature. He also had a fondness for hunting and a curious spirit that led him to collect various items throughout his life. Known for a deep love of reading and an inquisitive mind, he had a gift for storytelling and could captivate anyone willing to listen. His interests were as diverse as his talents, and he found joy in each endeavor.
Brendan leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory forward. He is survived by his mother, Mary Beth Wahl of Gainesville, GA; his children, Lee (Jennifer) Wahl of Warsaw, IN, Joel Wahl of Ozark, MO, Penny (Jeff) Brockman of Nixa, MO, and Beth (Jason Potter) Zahner of Hollister, MO; as well as ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four nephews. He also shared his life with his siblings, Chris (Julie) Wahl of Alpharetta, GA, Brian Wahl of Enumclaw, WA, and Gavin Wahl of
Long Beach, CA. Brendan was preceded in death by his father, Leonard A. Wahl, and his sister, Gretchen Kleinhenz.
Brendan was a remarkable man whose influences will endure through his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories shared by all who knew him.
