Brenda Sue Blanton

Brenda Sue Blanton, 69, was reunited in Heaven with her husband of 56 years, Glenn, on March 10, 2026. She was a woman of immense heart and spirited energy. To know her was to know someone who would give the shirt off her back to a stranger and her last dollar to a friend in need. She moved through life with a caring-first approach, always checking in on others and making sure everyone around her felt supported and loved. When she wasn’t looking after family and friends, she could often be found at the casino, enjoying the lights and sounds of the slot machines. She loved the thrill of the spin and the excitement of a big win, yet her greatest joy remained the laughter and time spent with the people she cherished. She taught those around her that life is something of a gamble, but when you lead with love, you always come out ahead.

In addition to her husband, Glenn Blanton, Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Ward, and her sisters, Colleen Young and Christine Wells. She is survived by her daughters, Melissa (Josh Conkel) and Sara Blanton; grandchildren, Mya Garred, Makenzie Cullen, and Malakai Blanton; sisters, Emma Coleman and Judy Porter; her best friend, Patricia Aaron; her beloved dog, Precious; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
