Brenda Kay Wilson

Brenda Kay Wilson, 54, of Muncie, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 3, 1971, in Bluffton, Indiana, the daughter of Earl and Sharon Brickey.

Brenda graduated from Bluffton High School in 1989 and went on to attend Franklin College, where she met the love of her life, Nick Wilson. They were married in Bluffton on June 8, 1991, and she earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from Franklin College in 1993. She worked as a data analyst for Liberty Mutual Insurance and was an active member of United Wesleyan Church in Anderson, where she participated in many church activities. She found joy in reading and cooking, but her greatest love was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Brooke (Alex) Hurt, Luke Wilson, and Lindsey Wilson; her brother, Doyle Brickey; her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Lee and Tammy Wilson, Brian and Shannon Wilson, and Peggy Teipen; and her nieces and nephews, Kyrsten, Eli, David, Alexis, Autumn, Alex, and Ashley, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 33 years, Rev. Nick Wilson.
