Brenda Janzen

Brenda Janzen, 59, of Shreveport, Louisiana, went to be with the Lord February 24, 2026.

Brenda was born February 10, 1967, in Bastrop, Louisiana. Known for her generosity, kindhearted spirit, and love of life, she embraced every moment—especially live music—and was cherished for her big heart. She worked for H & H Oil Company for 12 years and touched many lives with her warmth and generosity. She loved spending time with those she loved whether it was family or friends, even the friends that became family. The one person she loved most of all was the Lord, her relationship with him was the strongest. Everything she did she knew he was with her throughout every step of the way.

She was preceded in death by her Father Floyd Scarborough Sr, Brother Floyd Scarborough Jr., and granddaughter Harley Sykes.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Janzen; her mother, Wanda Scarborough; sisters Linda Doyon, Susie Winnon, Cindy Hager, Susie Sims, Theresa Towe, Rita Jones, and Amanda Spencer; children Christopher Janzen, Breanna Hicks, Arthur Janzen, Richard Sykes Jr., and Timothy Janzen; and her soul-adopted daughter, Ryan Lee. Brenda also leaves 25 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
