It was the people that made my life worth living - nothing else really matters in the end.First to my parents Edna and Horace Hayes who raised me and my six siblings in a loving home. They taught me courage with their own lives. I will always be thankful to them for making the sacrifice of leaving everything behind and moving to America.Next, to my one true love, Gene Harmer, who showed me how deep love and fond memories will get you through the hardest of times.Thank you to my oldest daughter Wendie Jean and her husband Tracy Buttars. They were always there for me and sustained me with their help, love, and support. Thanks to my youngest daughter Laurie Ellen who blessed me for 46 years with her gentle sweet spirit.I am very grateful to my grandchildren who have added so much joy, pride, and happiness to my life. Nicholas Glen Call; Chelsea Jean (Logan) Parish; Skyler Eugene Hartsough; Kip Darin Conger; and bonus grandson Blair (Betsy) Buttars. Also to my great grandchildren who brighten my life daily. Keaton Nicholas Call (Jaden Ward); Courtney Lyn Call (Tyler Mayo); Rowan Lane Parish; Milo Trace Parish; Jovi Jean Parish; and my great-great granddaughter Mara James Mayo. Being the matriarch to five generations has been my greatest accomplishment. To my siblings still on this earth, Graham Hayes, Beverly White, and Carol (Craig) Bennett, I thank you all for your lifetime of love and wonderful memories.Working for the USDA in three different states for over 40 years might be called successful, but it was the coworkers and farmers who made it such a rewarding career. I was also blessed to have many great friends through the years that added laughter and companionship. Thank you and cheers to you all!Significant sorrow came with the loss of loved ones who went before me. My husband Eugene Harmer and daughter Laurie passed from my life much too soon. Waiting on the other side are also my beloved parents, brother Keith Hayes, brother Jeffrey Hayes, sister Verna Stark, angel baby Ezra Hayes Parish, and my son-in-law Tracy Buttars. I will be with you all soon! The truth of my life is that I loved and was loved deeply. Sometimes I succeeded and sometimes I failed. But, I always tried to do the best I could on the day I did it.Read The Full Obituary
