Brandi Rowan ObituaryPublished by Legacy on Mar. 10, 2026.Brandi Lynne (Callaway) Rowan, 51, of Sedgwick, KS, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on March 3, 2026, now fully healed for eternity because of her faith in Jesus Christ.Brandi is the wife of Tim Rowan, who never left her side, supporting her tirelessly, during her courageous fight. Tim and Brandi are the parents of Emma Rowan, their beloved daughter. Emma was the joy and light of Brandi's life. Together they shared her love of music, literature, creativity, and animals.Brandi is the eldest daughter of Dr. Paul and Anita Callaway, of Udall, KS. She is survived by her sisters, Abbe (Callaway) Doll (m. Adam Doll) of Salisbury, NC, and Molly (Callaway) Lee (m. Austin Lee) of Derby, KS.She is also survived by her in-laws, Chuck and Susan Rowan, of Newton, KS and her sister-in- law, Michelle Rowan, of Wichita, KS. Brandi was the beloved aunt of Dakota, Creyton and Maggie Doll, and Callaway and Eden Lee. Brandi cherished her family, including her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.Brandi, born in Marlow, OK, left an incredible impact on the Oklahoman community, including her graduating class of 1992, where her love of dance began. A gifted dancer, she graced stages throughout high school and college, yet her favorite dances were ones she shared with her daughter and sisters.Brandi spent much of her professional career in the education system due to her great love for children, teaching, and reading. Most recently she was an invaluable para in the Sedgwick School District. She also served the children of Santa Fe, in Newton, KS, and Life Prep Academy in Wichita, KS. No matter the age, nationality, or skill set of the student, Brandi was known for her unconditional love and acceptance. Her favorite pastime and hobby was supporting her daughter at state fairs, school events, or curled up with a good book.Friends and family alike attribute to Brandi her love of all living creatures great and small. Known for her compassion to animals abandoned on the road, to volunteering at local shelters with Emma, Brandi was a true animal lover her entire life. For many months of the year, you could find Tim, Brandi and Emma contributing to county and state fairs, with their beloved animals and creations.Creativity flowed from all Brandi did, from school bulletin boards, to handmade crafts for her students, friends and family. Countless people benefitted from Brandi's generous spirit. She saw the world through her Creator's eyes, full of compassion, empathy, and beauty. She impacted all she met, by making them feel as if they were the most important person in the room.Because of these passions, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brandi Rowan's name to:Caring Hands Humane Society, 1400 Southeast 3rd Street, Newton KS 67114.Brandi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Tresa Dobey, Harry and Cherie Callaway; her cousin Claire Templeton; her uncle Michael Dobey; and her aunts, Karen Blay and Rene Tyler.Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Christian Church of Sedgwick, KS on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., 514 N.
