Bradley Celestino Pecchenino

Bradley Celestino Pecchenino

January 16, 1929 March 10, 2026

Merced, CA

Bradley Celestino Pecchenino was born on January 16, 1929, in Sonora, California, to Celestino and Lillian Pecchenino. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on March 10, 2026, in Merced, California, at the age of 97.

After graduating from college, Bradley was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1950. A Korean War combat veteran, he served as a squad leader on the front lines with the Second Infantry Battalion for two years, attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. In 1953, he married the love of his life, Wilma Jean Riedel. Together, Brad and Wilma made their home in Angels Camp, where they owned and operated Brad’s Quality Meats in Altaville for more than 40 years. Deeply committed to their community, they were always ready to lend a hand wherever needed while raising their family.

Bradley found joy in gardening, woodworking, and racing homing pigeons. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After relocating to Merced about 15 years ago, he became an avid reader, particularly enjoying the stories of Louis L’Amour and many other westerns and mysteries.

He is survived by his brother Leonhardt, his sister Celestine (Sheldon), his sons Bart (Julie), Dominic (Marianne), and Garth (Michelle), seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The family is deeply grateful for the devoted care provided by Jennett, Alma, Lupe, Eleanor, and Eva, as well as the support of Hinds Hospice.
