Boyce Long

Boyce E. Long, age 84, of Manila, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. The son of the late Johnny and Lillian Bert Long, he was born in Rosie, Arkansas, and raised in Leachville. He spent most of his life as a longtime resident of Manila, working for several area farms. A member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Manila, Boyce found quiet joy in fishing, tending to his lawn, and watching westerns.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, AJ, Loyd, Lonnie, and Robert, as well as two sisters, Linda and Inez.

Boyce is survived by his wife of 58 years, Diane Long, of the home; one daughter, Paula Long Bryant (Todd) of Jonesboro; one grandson, Benjamin Bryant of Jonesboro; one brother, Otis Long (Kay) of Lake City; two sisters, Virginia Collins (Doy) and Ruby Case, both of Western Grove; a special sister-in-law, Joyce Long; and a special niece who was like a second daughter, Karen Karr. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
