He was predeceased by: his parents, Booker T. Pennix and Daisy Farrington Pennix; and his siblings, Daniel Pennix, Jimmy Pennix, Betty McGee, Elsie Hall and Pauline Martin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Nathaniel Pennix (John), David Pennix, Thelma Ansley and Sherry Pennix; and his niece Karen. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Ireland Street Chapel (430 S Ireland St, Burlington, NC 27217).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Piedmont Men of Steel.
