She was born on September 3,1934 in Cameron, Texas, one of eleven children born to Irby and Ola Tucker. From the very beginning, she carried within her a strength that would define her life. Through that strength she raised 5 boys, (Jody Kenney, Walter Terry, Gary Terry, Melvin Valchar Jr., and Edwin Valchar) and she taught them to love Jehovah."But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved."Matthew 24:13Bonnie Mae Valchar was feisty, full of life, and strong in a way that only a true mother can be. She loved Jehovah God with all her heart and carried her faith with quiet devotion and unwavering conviction. Her belief guided her steps and shaped the way she loved her family - fiercely, selflessly, and without hesitation.Bonnie was the kind of woman who would walk through fire without blinking to protect those she loved. She may not have had much in material things, but she made sure her children were always fed and had clothes on their backs. She gave everything she had - her time, her energy, her strength - so her family would never go without. Her resilience was unmatched. Through life's challenges, she stood firm. Through hardship, she persevered. And through it all, her love never wavered. It was a love that comforted, protected, and carried her family through every storm.Bonnie's legacy is one of strength, faith, sacrifice, and unconditional love. The lessons she taught through her actions will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.Though she may no longer walk beside us, her memory remains - in every act of courage, every prayer whispered in faith, and every moment of fierce love shared in her honor. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered.Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.
