She was 75 years old.Born in Bronx, NY, on June 14, 1950, she was the daughter of Irving and Martha (née Blufstein) Sturman.Bonnie worked at Pennings Orchard, where she was lovingly known as "Grandma" by her coworkers, all of whom she cared for and loved.A family statement reads, "Bonnie loved her family fiercely. She was selfless, loving and absolutely hilarious. She always made everyone around her smile, even on their worst days. She had a way of making people feel welcomed and cared for just by simply being present. She was the most loyal friend. Bonnie put others before herself again and again. She lived simply and honestly. She cared for her family with every fiber of her being. Her loss will be felt deeply, however, the memories and her crazy cackle will live on forever."Bonnie is survived by her son Gary Wilson Jr.; daughter Monica Pennings and her husband John; grandchildren: Kaelyn and her husband Jessy Raap and Cameron and her fiance Christopher Minns; great-grandchildren: Kelly-Jo and Jessy Jr., who is on the way; sister Judith Lopez and her partner Dennis Askew; brother Howard Sturman and his wife Jan; life partner Harold Thurston; life-long friend Sally Gray; and her cherished dog, Benny. She was predeceased by her former husband and dear friend Gary Wilson, Sr.; brother Barry Sturman; mother-in-law Mildred Wilson and brother-in-law James Wilson.Private arrangements have been made and a celebration of life will be held in the future.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
