Bonnie Mounts (Sanchez), a woman of creativity, kindness, and deep faith, passed away on March 6, 2026. Born on April 5, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of Linda Mounts and the late John Mounts. She grew up surrounded by love and encouragement that allowed her many talents to flourish.
Bonnie is survived by her sisters, Ramona (Mike) Lopez and Michelle Galvan, who will carry her memory with them always. She was a loving aunt to April Hogan, Tony Morsovillo, and Kevin Troesch, and she shared her gentle kindness with many aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
A woman of strong Christian faith, Bonnie found joy and purpose in many creative pursuits. An accomplished gymnast, she won numerous medals at the state level and was honored as Junior Citizen of McKinley Park by the late Mayor Daley. She had a deep love for animals and expressed her artistic soul through writing, drawing, and painting. At the time of her passing, she was developing a Christian board game called “UnBabbled” and shared her poetry and artistic visions on her YouTube channel. Bonnie faced life’s challenges with courage and grace, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew her through her warmth and generous spirit.
She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Her love, creativity, and steadfast faith remain with those she leaves behind.
