Baker, age 79, of Madelia, MN, will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Lakeview Funeral Home Fairmont, MN. Bonnie passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Madelia Health. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.Bonnie Mae (Arndt) Baker was born on August 26, 1946, in New Ulm, MN. She was the daughter of Theodore and Catherine (Meidl) Arndt and attended New Ulm public schools.On December 3, 2004, Bonnie was united in marriage to James A. Baker. The couple resided in Fairmont. When Bonnie wasn't working, she enjoyed crocheting and fishing. She loved the time she was able to spend with her grandkids, especially the great grandchildren.Left to cherish her memory include her children, Stephanie Ellanson of Madelia, and Daryle Ellanson (fiancé, Tammy) of Madelia; step children, Mike Baker, Rhonda Gies, Jason Baker, and Holly Smedley; grandchildren, Heidi Wolters (Andy Wille), Hannah Wolters (Cole Chadwick), Holly Wolters, Dylan Ellanson, Dustin (Olivia) Hjelmer, and Brandon Hjelmer; great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Cooper, Loriah, Ahlana, Londyn, Xander, Landon, Lincoln, Cohen, Everleigh, Nova, and Braxton; siblings, Butch (Karen) Arndt, Janet Thomas, Mary Andrews, Gail Janni, Ronnie (Melissa) Arndt, and Julie (Brent) Reinarts; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Along with her parents, Theodore and Catherine Arndt, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, James Baker; son, Theodore Owen Ellanson Jr.; stepson, James W.
