She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harris, Sr. and Mamie Rebecca Harris (Rinker); her former husband David Clark Gum, Sr.; her husband Garland Elwood Pugh; and her siblings, Marie Miller, Mildred Harris (Mille), James "Dutch" Harris, Jr., Roy Harris and Raymond Harris.

She is survived by: her children, Kathy Gum of Winchester, Susan Catlett (Tommy) of Winchester, David Gum, Jr. (Paige) of Berryville and Michael Gum (Jackie) of Winchester; her grandchildren, Patricia Garman (Warren), Heather Garman (Bernie) of Ryan Sykes, T. J, David Catlett (Heather), Sara-Beth Buzzell (Billy), Keaton Catlett, Trey Gum (Olivia), Brittany Wilbourne (Jason), Aubrey Martin Hilary (Matt), Meghan Ryman (Cody), Kelly Bumgarner (Brad) and Lauren Barr (Matt); and her sister-in-law Nancy Harris of Mount Jackson. She is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church (2732 Martinsburg Pike, Stephenson, VA 22656). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at the Cemetery Shenandoah Memorial Park (1270 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA 22602).
