Bonnie Louise (Harris) Pugh, age 90, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born on May 26, 1935, in Mount Jackson, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James Harris, Sr. and Mamie Rebecca (Rinker) Harris. A graduate of Triplett High School, Class of 1953, Bonnie went on to attend beauty school in Harrisonburg. She worked as a talented cosmetologist and was self-employed for many years. A lifelong member of Brucetown United Methodist Church, she found great joy in attending live music performances.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her first husband, David Clark Gum, Sr., in 1971, and her second husband, Garland Elwood Pugh, whom she married on June 14, 1974, in 2020. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Marie Miller and Mildred (Mille) Harris, and her brothers, James “Dutch” Harris, Jr., Roy Harris, and Raymond Harris.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Gum and Susan Catlett (Tommy), both of Winchester, David Gum, Jr. (Paige) of Berryville, and Michael Gum (Jackie) of Winchester; her grandchildren, Patricia Garman (Warren), Heather Garman (Bernie), Ryan Sykes, T.J. Catlett (Stephanie), David Catlett (Heather), Sara-Beth Buzzell (Billy), Keaton Catlett, Trey Gum (Olivia), Brittany Wilbourne (Jason), Aubrey Martin (Matt), Hilary Lautenschleger (T.J.), Meghan Ryman (Cody), Kelly Bumgarner (Brad), and Lauren Barr (Matt); 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy Harris of Mount Jackson.
