Bonnie Kay Rowland

Bonnie Kay Rowland of Portsmouth, Virginia, passed away on March 14, 2026 at the age of 76. She left behind a life quietly marked by the love of her family and the steady presence she offered those closest to her.

Predeceased by her parents, Walter Ivey Barnes and Helen Virginia Barnes, and her siblings, Connie Barnes Sheppard and Charles Thomas Barnes, Bonnie is survived by her son, Chad Ivey Boyd; her grandchildren, Henry Ivey Boyd and Lillian Virginia Boyd; her great-grandchild, Shannon Myrkle; and her nieces and nephew, Jennifer Sheppard Deason, Jill Renee Moniz, and Troy Brian Barnes, along with several great-nieces and a great-nephew. She was married to Linwood Everett Rowland.
