Bonnie Jean "Barr" Dommel

Bonnie Jean "Barr" Dommel passed away on March 6, 2026. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on September 24, 1960, to Melvin and Jane Barr, she was preceded in death by her children Jesse and Daniel Haupt. Bonnie was known for her remarkable ability to make people laugh and smile. Her lifelong relationship with the late John Haupt brought her many children. She is survived by her siblings Michael, Joseph, Cynthia, and Lisa Barr, along with her children and grandchildren.

She was the devoted mother of twelve children and a mother to anyone who entered her home. With a heart that remained generous even in her final days, Bonnie never judged or turned away those in need, often feeding and housing them however she could. She served as the steadfast glue that held her large family together, offering unwavering love and support as a mother, wife, sibling, and friend.

A selfless woman who dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren, Bonnie began each day by opening the curtains to welcome the light, then reaching for her broom and dustpan. She taught her family the value of hard work and the profound importance of family bonds through her own example of sacrifice and devotion. Her spirit and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
