Bonnie Gills ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Chapel Hill Mortuary & Memorial Gardens - Cedar Hill on Mar. 17, 2026.Bonnie Lynn GillsBonnie (nee Minyard) Gills of Byrnes Mill, Missouri, was born June 5, 1938 in Big Lake, Arkansas to Owen and Geneva (nee Ryan) Minyard and entered into rest Sunday, March 15, 2026 in Byrnes Mill, Missouri at the age of 87 years.She is preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Geneva (nee Ryan) Minyard.She is survived by her husband, John Gills Sr; children, Michelle Gills and John (Kristine) Gills; four (4) grandchildren, Rick McCarter Jr., Ashley (Jeremy) Van Meter, Kaycee (Cody) Buddenhagen, and John Gills III; seven (7) great-grandchildren, Brooke, Dale, Paisley, Logan, Wyatt, Cecelia, and Cody Jr; sister, Laverne Bell; along with numerous other extended family and friends.Bonnie Gills was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered around family and the simple joys that brought her happiness. In June of 1956, she married the love of her life, John Gills Sr., and together they built a beautiful life and family. They were blessed with two children, who later gave them four cherished grandchildren, and in time, seven treasured great-grandchildren who brought Bonnie endless pride and joy. Bonnie had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found fishing, waterskiing, or tending to the many gardens she lovingly cared for throughout the years. She also loved to dance and never passed up the chance to enjoy music and a good time with those she loved. Above all, Bonnie will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the many happy memories they created together.Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary.
