Boni L. Segura

Boni L. Segura, age 63, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away surrounded by so much love, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. She was born in Toledo on July 24, 1962, to the late Richard Sr. and Evelyn Joanne (Cole) Burson.

Boni was a graduate of Waite High School’s class of 1980. When she wasn’t caring for her family, she had a career in clerical and administrative roles, where she brought diligence and care to her work.

In her earlier years, Boni enjoyed crafting projects, sharing creative and joyful moments with her children. This passion for engaging with others extended into her love of baking and cooking which many would look forward to her delicious treats.

Boni's greatest pride and joy were rooted in her family. She cherished spending time with them and loved having the role as grammy. Boni was loved wholeheartedly on both sides of her family. She embraced the special bond that brought warmth and happiness.

Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her, remembered for the joy she brought and the family-centered life she embraced so fully. This isn’t goodbye, but we will see you again!

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving husband, John Segura, whom she married in August of 1999; children, Nicole (Chris) Segura, Maximilian (Melissa) Segura, Sara (Curtice) Segura Pedersen; and Alexandria Segura; grandchildren, Brailen, Brexleigh, Brody, Briggs, Paxton, and Beau; siblings, Shawn Burson, Tracey (Jack Sr.) Rasar, and Richard Jr. (Taracia Chumley) Burson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Burson.

Family and friends may gather at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616, on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will take place at 4:00 pm. Please bring a special memory of Boni you would like to share, as we celebrate Boni!

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boni’s family to assist with funeral expenses.
