He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallie Bane and Lillian Bane; and his siblings, Hallie C. Bane, Jr., Donald W. Bane, G. Daniel Bane, Frederick H. Bane, Betty Jean Bane and Patricia Darlene Bane.

He is survived by: his sisters, Brenda White Sturgill and Linda Fields; his wife Vergie M. Bane; his children, Freda Bane-Prastitis (Ted), Bobby Bane, Jr. (Wanda), Teresa Devaul (Stuart) and Donny Bane (Beth); and his grandchildren, Kara Whittington (James), Stephanie Feller (Eric), Rachel Prastitis, Aurora "Nora" Prastitis, Willard Devaul (Jenna), Charles Devaul, Augustus Devaul, Amy Mehlon (Joe), Andrew Bane, Adam Bane, Abraham Bane, Asa Bane and Amos Bane.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Meyers Funeral Home (1150 IN-46, Batesville, IN 47006). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
