He worked as a steam engineer for Chevron and served in the United States Army.He is survived by his nieces, Belinda Gipson and Ellen York (Randy), all of Benton; several great-nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Larry Hill Maupin and Gerald Maupin.A private graveside service will be at Fooks Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
