Bobby Eugene Gammel

Bobby Eugene Gammel, age 90, a resident of Somerville, Tennessee, passed away on March 8, 2026, at Pine Meadows Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar, Tennessee.

Mr. Gammel was born on May 21, 1935, to the late John Gammel and Euffie Houston Gammel. He enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, including carpentry and wood carving. He also loved spending time outdoors hiking in the woods, walking, and camping. Above all, Bobby had a deep appreciation for life and the simple joys it brought.

He is survived by his three sons, Bobby Joe Gammel (Cindy), Gary Gammel, and Billy Gammel (Pam); five grandchildren, Joshua, Gary, Kristin, Jonathan, and Joey; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Gammel was preceded in death by his parents, John and Euffie Gammel; and three siblings, Hazel Watkins, Shirley Byrd, and Bill Gammel.

Funeral services for Mr. Gammel will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, March 12, 2026, at Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville, with interment to follow at Morris Chapel Cemetery in Somerville.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Peebles Main Funeral Chapel.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Joshua Gammel, Joey Gammel, Jonathan Gammel, Gary Gammel, Zane Gammel, and Mike Watkins.
