Born on November 10th, 1954, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia, Bobby's journey through life took him many places and ultimately to Middletown, Delaware, where he spent his final years. A brave and spirited soul, Bobby's fight with cancer illustrated his resilience and strength, traits that defined him throughout his 71 years.Bobby's early years were spent in the community of Brookside and the halls of Christiana High School, where he graduated with the Class of '73, laying the foundation for a life of service and hard work. His unwavering dedication to his country was evident through his PROUD service as an Engineer, Equipment Mechanic and Repairman in the United States Army. Following his military tenure, Bobby worked various jobs and ultimately found a fulfilling career at General Motors, from which he ultimately retired, leaving behind a legacy of diligence and passion for his work.As a man of faith, Bobby's beliefs guided him through the trials and triumphs of life. He was a beacon of love and generosity, touching the lives of all who knew him with his spirited and chatty nature. Bobby's interests were as varied as they were heartfelt-from his passion for fishing and boating to the intricate craft of rug making. He was always ready to take on a home project or lend a hand wrenching on cars, especially when it came to those notorious brake jobs for a certain daughter of his.Family and friends were the cornerstone of Bobby's life. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and best buddy to many. Though pre-deceased by his father, Richard Reuling Sr., his stepmother, Anna Reuling and his faithful companion, Sienna, his legacy lives on through his cherished loved ones, his daughters Christine Cesario (Bryan Messick) and Nikki Cutillo; his son, Andrew Pierce; and his adored grandchildren, AJ, Tyler, Olivia, Samantha, Giada, Antonia and Valentina. His brothers, Calvin Reuling, Richard Reuling Jr. and his sister, Sue Reuling Davis, along with a vast array of great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members, will carry forward the light of his presence in their lives.Bobby's impact on this world was immeasurable. His love knew no bounds, and his generosity left a mark on the hearts of many. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. As we bid farewell to a man who embodied the very essence of life's joy and love, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy will endure through the lives he touched and the memories he created.We say goodbye to Bobby, not with sorrow but with gratitude for the time we shared with him. His journey on earth has ended, but his story and memories will be told for generations to come. Rest in peace, Bobby Carrol Reuling. Your life was a testament to the beauty of a soul well-lived, and you will be missed more than words can express.A visitation will be held Monday March 30 from 10:30-11:30 am with a celebration service following at 11:30 am at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington 19808.
