Mrs. Bobbie Nell Moore Wilson, age 90, of Fruithurst, Alabama, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on March 30, 1935, in Fruithurst to the late James Amon Moore and Gladys Godwin Moore, she was a lifelong resident who embodied warmth, resilience, and a lively spirit.
A graduate of the Cleburne County High School Class of 1953, Bobbie was a longtime member of Mt. Olive Church of God. She served faithfully as an Army wife for more than 22 years while raising her family. Later, she worked for many years at Smith’s Thriftown and, in her later life, returned to school to become a certified nursing assistant. Known for her spunky personality and ready humor, Bobbie had a gift for friendship and touched everyone she met with her kindness and wit.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Lanford D. Wilson; her daughter, Felecia Hammond; her sister and brother-in-law, Eunice and Cooter Coggins; and her brother and sister-in-law, Euell and Louise Moore.
Bobbie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Steve Gatlin of Mobile, Alabama, Benita and Bruce Cash of Fruithurst, Jennifer and Matt Denman of Carrollton, Georgia, and Kent Hammond of Roanoke, Alabama; her son, Michael Wilson of Muscadine, Alabama; her grandchildren, Haley and Eric Normand, Trenton and Crystal Gatlin, Miles and Elizabeth Gatlin, David and Randa Cash, Jobeth Hunt, Lenny Hunt, Amon Hunt, Malachi Hammond, Devan and Joey Sprayberry, Lorin and Jonas Dickerson, and Madison Denman; fifteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Sandra Corrado of Heflin, Alabama; her brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Faye Moore of Carrollton, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.
