Bobbie Jean Hunt

Bobbie Jean Hunt, age 95 of Lebanon, passed away on March 5, 2026 at her residence, surrounded by her loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Carlton Hunt and Ruby Lee Malone Hunt.

A graduate of Lebanon High School where she was valedictorian of her class, Bobbie Jean went on to earn degrees from Vanderbilt University and Middle Tennessee State University. She enjoyed a long and dedicated career as an educator, teaching at Lebanon High School, DuPont High School, and DuPont Tyler Middle School before retiring from both the Wilson County and Davidson County school systems. She was a longtime member of Christian Life Chapel.

Known for her energetic spirit and quick pace, Bobbie Jean often summed up her approach to life with the motto, “I have two speeds: here she comes and there she goes.” She is survived by her cousins and many dear friends.
