February 17, 1928— March 8, 2026
Houston, MS
Bobbie Forrest Williams, a beloved matriarch whose life touched five generations, passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 98. Born on February 17, 1928, in Calhoun County to Edward B. and Joyce Cole Forrest, she later moved to Houston with her husband, Jess Williams. Together they helped establish Forrest Auto Parts, which grew into a thriving family business and a warm gathering place for friends and neighbors.
She was a devoted wife and a loving mother to her son, Larry Williams (Agnes), and daughter, Lynn Brasher. Known affectionately as “BobBob” to her family, she took great joy in her role as grandmother to Jim Brasher (Kelli), Kim Ferguson, and Kristi Gann (Shane); great-grandmother to Vance Gann (Lauren), Mallory Gibson (Travis), Chase Ferguson (Brooklyn), Blaize Gann (Georgia), Shea Brasher, Jacob Brasher, Sam Brasher, and Mary Elizabeth Brasher; and great-great-grandmother to William Ridge and Lennon Gann, Addy and Emmy Gibson, Rowdy Gann, and Logan Ferguson.
In her younger years, Bobbie rarely missed a ballgame her grandchildren played, faithfully keeping score from her chair on warm summer evenings and cool fall nights. She also cherished her work at the family parts store, where she greeted customers with conversation each day. One of her favorite routines was climbing into the little red truck to deliver parts to local mechanic shops, creating lasting friendships along the way. Her daily coffee breaks at places such as Pearson’s Drug Store, New Orleans Famous Fried Chicken, Moore’s Restaurant, and later Hardee’s became cherished times of laughter, storytelling, and connection.
Bobbie is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the legacy of love, hard work, and laughter she so generously shared. She has been reunited with her husband, Jess Williams; her parents, Edward B. and Joyce Cole Forrest; her grandson, Steven Brasher; her son-in-law, John Brasher; and her great-great-grandson, Axl Gann.
