Bobbie Alene Laing

Bobbie Alene Laing, 63, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in Plano, Texas.

Born on May 22, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Harold Joe and Eva Charlene (Hopper) Norris, Sr., Bobbie was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She married Michael Laing on November 8, 1997, in Richardson, Texas, and enjoyed a long career as an editorial writer before retiring.

Those who knew her will remember her warm spirit and the deep love she held for her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Norris, Sr., her husband Mike Laing, and her daughter Angela Charlene Timmons.

She is survived by her mother, Charlene Norris of Decatur; her daughter April Kelly of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her son Jeremy Timmons of Decatur; her sisters Larenda Phelps and husband Lee of NRH, and Rebecca Stephenson and husband Ken of NRH; her brother Harold Norris, Jr. of Decatur; grandsons Aiden, Sean, Quinn, and River Duke of Colorado Springs, Logan and Graydon Laing of Rowlett, and Lucas Froeschl of Garland; her step-sons Cameron and William Laing of Plano; her previous husband Daniel Timmons of Corpus Christi; her beloved dog Pepper; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
