Bob Van Vossen

Bob Van Vossen, age 81, of LaGrange Highlands, passed away peacefully. He was the beloved husband of Georgia and the loving father of Amy (Mike) Bilak, Jill (Mike) Whalen, and Todd (Stacey) Van Vossen. He was the proud grandfather of Nyah and Kaden Bilak, Luke and Chloe Whalen, and Jacob Van Vossen. Bob is also survived by his dear sister Marilyn McGuire, his brother John (Trudy) Van Vossen, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bob had a natural gift for fixing things. His eyes would light up at the sight of his toolbox, and whether it was a household repair or a more complicated project, he always seemed to know what to do or would patiently figure it out. He found joy in fishing, bowling, working on word searches, listening to Neil Diamond, and watching old Westerns and history programs. A man of strong faith, he cared deeply and selflessly for his family, friends, and beloved pets.

He will be remembered as a steady, generous presence in the lives of all who knew him, always ready to lend a hand or offer quiet support.
