He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Netemeyer and Rita Netemeyer; his parents-in-law, Arnold and Wilma Henss; his sister-in-law Mary Henss; his niece Aimee Henss; and his great-nephew Gary "Tripp" Kharibian.

He is survived by: his wife Melissa Netemeyer of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Matt Netemeyer (Laurie) of Aviston, Karen Schroeder (Nick) of Albers and Lauren Weiss (Steven) of Highland; his grandchildren, Aubrey, Lily, Lane Netemeyer, Landon, Mason, Chase, Lyla Schroeder, Stetson and Sloan Weiss; his siblings, Kathe Cronin of St. Louis, MO, Mark Netemeyer (Roxanne) of Shawnee Mission, KS, Ed Netemeyer (JoAnn) of Albers and Cindy Wiegmann (Mark) of Albers; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Anne Henss, Jackie Weik (Gary) of Grapevine, TX, Chuck Henss (Cindi) of Lee's Summit, MO, Janice Wiegmann (Dan) of New Baden, Mary Becker (Bernell) of Beckemeyer, Arnie Henss (Linda) of Breese, Maggie Peters of Albers, Paul Henss (Barb) of New Baden, John Henss (Gail Wade) of Breese, Mark Henss (Lynn) of Beckemeyer, Donna Litteken (Bob) of Trenton and Diane "Fritz" Maue (Steve) of Aviston. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Moss Funeral Home (535 N 5th St, Breese, IL 62230). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Damian Catholic Church (1 W Main St, Damiansville, IL 62215).

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to Mater Dei Catholic High School, Tee'd Off with ALS, or the Kaskaskia College Foundation Jim Beasley Veterans Tribute and will be received at the visitation or by mail to Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
