Blythe Elyse Carlson

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blythe Elyse Carlson of Decorah, Iowa, who passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Blythe Elyse Carlson to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid Blythe farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. She is survived by: her parents, Lowell Carlson and Brenda Carlson (McClaflin) of Maquoketa, IA; her siblings, Peter Carlson (Kayla) of Maquoketa and Heather Carlson (Scott Schroeder) of Yakima, WA; her siblings' children, Zelma Carlson, Claire Schroeder and Axel Carlson; and her close friend Dan Morse of Minneapolis.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Carson Celebration (318 W Pleasant St, Maquoketa, IA 52060).

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be directed to National Public Radio, Iowa Public Television, or the Hurstville Interpretive Center.
