Blanche Ford

Blanche Ford, age 91, of Willis, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, after a short illness. Born at home on July 4, 1934, in Butler, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Nancy George, she was the oldest of seven children. Blanche lived a life defined by kindness and deep devotion to her family.

She raised her children in Fairfield, California, as a homemaker who cherished old family traditions while creating new ones. A talented seamstress, she sewed clothing for her loved ones, and the holidays were especially meaningful, filled with days of baking and preparing traditional Polish foods. Her table was always open, with room for anyone who wished to join.

Later in life, Blanche moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she met the love of her life, Fortis “Gus” Ford. They married in 1988 and shared 20 joyful years traveling, spending time with family, and welcoming new grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gus preceded her in death in 2011.

Blanche is survived by her four children, Debbie Maready (Ed), Linda Wojton (Johnny), Karen Airoldi (Rick), and Dianna Nuenthel; 12 grandchildren, John Maready, Kristin Littlefield, Jennifer Maready, Jeremy Johnson, Melissa Looney, Kristina Looney, Nicole Rendon, Ashley Dong, Christopher Nuenthel, Matthew Huntsman (deceased), Nicholas Huntsman, and Jayson Johnson; 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Cameron and Nancy Snyder; a brother, Joe Snyder (Donna); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford George, John “Jack” George, and Raymond George. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed, yet forever remembered in the hearts of those she cherished.
