Billy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was most proud of his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Regina Butler; his children, Stephen (Donna) Butler, Stacy (Jeff) Benningfield, and Wade (Codye) Butler; and his grandchildren Hailey Butts, Sarah (Steven) Razo, Aaron (Ashley) Peach, Nathan (Rachel) Butler, Jacob (Jessica) Benningfield, Hannah Benningfield, Owen Butler, Emery Butler, McClaine Butler, and Chapel Butler. Billy enjoyed the simple pleasures in life - a good joke, coffee with friends, listening to and playing bluegrass music, working on old cars, attending Friday After 5, playing cards, and spending time at bluegrass festivals. He was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church in Owensboro.

Those who knew Billy will remember the way he would pull you close to share a laugh, a bit of wisdom, and often reminding others just how much Jesus loved them. Private family service & Celebration of life to follow at a later date.
