Born on September 30, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, to Joy D. and Tommie Lee (Cathey) Campbell, Billy married Joyce (Taylor) Campbell on September 1, 2000, in Hopkins County, Texas. A devoted family man and loyal friend, he cherished coon hunting and, above all, treasured the time spent with his grandchildren. As a father, he was exceptional—always the life of the party, quick with a joke, and someone who never met a stranger. His warm humor brought laughter and joy to everyone around him.

Billy is survived by his wife, Joyce Campbell; his mother, Tommie Lee (Cathey) Campbell; his son, Floyd Taylor and wife Hayley; his daughter, Amanda Johnson; his grandchildren, Makynslee Wood, Aunalee Wood, Jackson Taylor, Alana Curry, and Zoe Curry; his brother, Troy Campbell; and his sisters, Denise Campbell and Delaine Dyer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joy D. Campbell, and his brother, Rodney Campbell.
