Bill J. Cain Sr., 83, of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away on March 14, 2026. Born on March 28, 1942, in Tipton, Indiana, he lived in Lady Lake with his wife Carol for more than 17 years.

A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Bill served from 1960 to 1990 and retired with the rank of Master Chief. Following his military career, he worked at the VA Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee, for more than 18 years. He was an active member of the Village Church of Christ, a devoted supporter of University of Memphis sports, and an avid golfer who played as often as he could.

He will be remembered for his humor, generous spirit, and the joy he brought to every gathering. Bill approached life with the same discipline and delight he showed on the golf course, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. His legacy continues through the family he cherished and the many friends who held him dear.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Carol M. Cain of The Villages, Florida; sons Billie (Lisa) Cain Jr. of Arkansas and Mike (Pam) Cain of Tennessee; sisters Ann Reeves of Florida and Rae Kirk of Texas; grandchildren Ashten, Brad, Tiffany, Jeremy, and James; four great-grandchildren; and other loving extended family. He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
