Bill Hiltner

Bill Hiltner

Park City, KY

Bill Hiltner, age 65, of Park City, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Born on December 5, 1960 in Defiance, Ohio, he was the son of Bill and Bert Merritt and the late Charles William “Charley Bill” Hiltner, Sr. He was married to his soul mate and best friend, Jamie Hiltner, who survives.

From a young age, Bill possessed a servant’s heart that guided him throughout his life. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard and later continued that spirit of service through his maintenance work for the City of Park City. He took great pride in improving the community he loved, finding deep satisfaction in fixing what was broken, building something new, and creating things that would benefit others. Bill was always eager to start a new project that could make someone’s life a little better. At the time of his passing, he was excitedly working on his latest project at Pee Wee’s Pizza, Wings and Ice Cream. Even in death, his generous spirit endured as he gave the gift of life through organ donation.

He is survived by his wife Jamie, his parents Bill and Bert Merritt, his children Brad Lee (Valerie) of Westerville, Ohio, Angel Bell (Johnny) of Glasgow, Samantha Francis (fiancé Ruben) of Park City, Dylan Hiltner (Jade) of Pueblo West, Colorado, Miranda Schnitkey (Aaron) of Napoleon, Ohio, Paige Hiltner of Bowling Green, and Emma Hiltner of Park City, fourteen grandchildren, his siblings Jimmy Hiltner (Tammy) and Amy Miller (Chris), and a host of friends. Bill will be lovingly carried to his final resting place at Evergreen Cemetery by his children. In honor of his giving nature and his dedication to making Park City a better place, memorial contributions may be made toward the purchase of a Memorial Buddy Bench for the city park.
