Beverly S. Green

Beverly S. Green, age 95, of Marietta, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward “Ed” Green in 2019; her parents, Grace and Grover Sosebee; and her sister, Barbara Stephens.

Beverly retired from the Cobb County Board of Education in 1988 after a dedicated career. A longtime resident of Marietta, she was an active member of Roswell Street Baptist Church for more than seventy years, where her faith and quiet devotion touched many.

She is survived by her son, Gary Green, and his wife, Sandra, of Fairfax, Virginia; her granddaughter, Olivia Green, of Fairfax, Virginia; her grandson, Andrew Green, of Boston, Massachusetts; and her nephew, Larry Stephens, of Savannah, Georgia.
