Beverly June Metz, 83 of Bucyrus passed away on March 16, 2026, peacefully at home. Beverly was born February 6, 1943, in Willard to the late Johnny and Mary (Johns) Dummitt. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bradley ‘Butch’ Dummitt; sisters Naomi ‘Tootie’ (Dummitt) Copper, and Maureen ‘Mikki’ (Dummitt) Webb.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 65 years, Larry Metz; children Jonathan (Liz) Metz, Laina VanBuskirk, and Eric Metz; 8 grandchildren; Roger (Jamie) Cooper, Damien Lucio, Nicole Cline, Jon (Payton) Metz, Jo Metz, Craig Nickler, Casey Metz Sr., Dakota Metz, and many, many great-grandchildren.
Beverly was raised in Chatfield, Ohio. She was an incredibly talented florist, having worked at Wonder Gardens and numerous other flower shops. She attended Chatfield High School, where she was a beautiful cheerleader, standing tall at the top of the pyramid. She enjoyed fishing, camping, singing, traveling all over the world, making music with her family, Bingo, and all things Christmas.
Beverly was a member of The Bucyrus and Galion Moose, often spending her free time there. Beverly was a member of the Copper Kettle Chorus, The Red Hat Society, and attended Only Believe Ministries, where she was baptized.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2026, at 1:00PM in the Munz Pirnstill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service and she will be laid to rest in Nevada Cemetery. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com
