Those who knew her understood the warmth and calm she carried with her. Before life slowed her down, BJ loved to travel. She enjoyed seeing new places and experiencing the beauty of the world around her. Those journeys were part of what made her smile and brought her joy. BJ will be remembered for her quiet strength, her peaceful nature, and the love she shared with those closest to her. Though she may no longer be with us, the memories of her life, the travels, the one who loved to who celebrated everyone's birthday with cake and ice cream, her love for hats, who made those funny faces when taking pictures, and the quiet way she cared for others will remain in our hearts forever.BJ was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie D and Willie Mae Thomas and her brother William "Billy" Thomas. Her love for her family was the foundation of everything she did as she leaves to treasure her memory her three children: Willie McFarland Jr., Anthony McFarland, and Adette McFarland-Cole.
