Beverly Jean Craig passed away on March 10, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on August 4, 1934, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Wilfred and Myrtle Hagen. She grew up in Minneapolis before moving to Lima, Ohio during her high school years, where she graduated from Lima Central High School.
Beverly went on to graduate from Capital University, where she met the love of her life, Rev. David Craig. They married on June 12, 1960, and shared a loving marriage for 60 years until David’s passing in 2021. She was the steadfast partner in his ministry and the backbone of their family. Beverly taught Sunday School, organized women’s church groups, hosted staff Christmas dinners, and quietly supported countless church activities with her dedication and generosity. Her quiet strength and deep love for her family remained at the center of her life.
In the early 1980s, Beverly worked as a Weight Watchers instructor, encouraging others in their health journeys. She later volunteered at the Lutheran Synod office in Cuyahoga Falls, continuing her lifelong commitment to service. In retirement, she and David enjoyed traveling and spending quiet time together.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Myrtle Hagen; her husband, David Craig; and her children, Brian Craig and Diane Craig. She is survived by her son, Stephen (Misty) Craig; her grandchildren, Brian Craig Jr., Robert Craig, Ethan Craig, and Grace Craig; and her great-grandchildren, Sawyer Craig, Carter Craig, Kayden Craig, and Dallas Kibby. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard (Julie) Hagen and Robert (Barbara) Hagen. Her family will remember her deep faith, her devotion to those she loved, and the kindness and support she offered so freely to others.
