Preserve forever →Beverly J. Mosher
December 16, 1939— March 9, 2026
Oshkosh, WI
Beverly J. Mosher passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 9, 2026, at her home on an unseasonably warm and sunny day she would have loved. She was 86.
Born in Berlin, Wisconsin, on December 16, 1939, to George and Lillian (Krueger) Marks, Beverly was the second of five siblings. She graduated from Berlin High School and later worked in various positions before retiring after more than twenty years with Sears. In 1960 she married the love of her life and best friend, Gary Mosher. Together they raised two children and delighted in six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
Beverly possessed a deep awareness of the world’s need for nurturing and spent her life quietly filling that role for everyone around her. She embodied service and compassion, caring for her parents, opening her home to family, and driving to Madison each week to help raise her grandsons. Her devotion was perhaps most evident in the years she lovingly cared for Gary through his battle with Alzheimer’s. Those who knew her felt immediately welcome and cared for in her presence. Her grandchildren fondly remember her chocolate cake and ice cream cones served in generous and sometimes questionable amounts. Through her example, they learned the value of lifelong learning, humility, a strong work ethic, and a gentle love of home and garden.
Beverly is survived by her son, Douglas Mosher (Kate Robinson), her daughter Amy Mosher-Garvey (Joseph Garvey), six devoted grandsons—Josh Garvey, Ryne Mosher (Maggie), Jake Garvey (Emma Piepenbrok), Kieran Garvey (Malia Stone), Aidan Garvey (Ava Shager), and Logan Garvey—two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Emilia Garvey, three brothers—Mike Marks, Matt Marks (Annie), and Tom Marks (Nancy)—special daughter-in-law Julie Peters, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Mosher, her parents George Marks and Lillian Bach, and her sister, Cecilia Carroll.
