Beverly Hodges

Beverly Jean Hodges, née Taylor, age 80, of Boonville, Indiana, passed away on March 12, 2026.

Born on August 16, 1945, to Clarence Taylor and Fern Bosma, Beverly graduated from Boonville High School in 1963. She served faithfully as a church secretary for 25 years and was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church in Boonville. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry A. Hodges, and together they shared 60 years of marriage while raising their two children, Jerilyn and Jerry L.

Beverly often said her greatest accomplishments were her family. She cherished her role as wife, mother, and Mawmaw, taking special delight in her three granddaughters—Taylor (Skelton) Titzer, Sydney Skelton, and Peyton Skelton—and her great-grandson, Aaron Titzer. She loved gathering her family for Sunday meals and holidays, teaching her grandchildren to sew, cook, and bake, and filling their lives with warmth and care. She is also survived by her beloved Yorkie, Gizmo.

She leaves behind her granddaughters Taylor and husband Tyler Titzer with their son Aaron, Sydney Skelton, Peyton Skelton, her sister Judy and husband Bob Davis, her son-in-law Keith Skelton, and other dear family members including Kristine Hodges, Kasey VanBuren, Amanda (Scott) Hulen, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Beverly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
