Kansas City, KS
Beulah Alene Ahart, age 101, was born on January 15, 1925 in Tuscumbia, Missouri to Elmer Henry and Edith Ivy Flaugher. She passed away on March 11, 2026 in Kansas City, Kansas.
On January 27, 1945, she married the love of her life, Lloyd Warren Ahart, in Kansas City, Kansas. Together they raised two daughters, Judy, born in 1946, and Debra, born in 1957, sharing 43 years of marriage and family life. Beulah was known for her many talents and gentle spirit. She lovingly tended her garden, especially the 100-year-old rose bush that became a treasured family heirloom. A gifted quilter, she sewed purses and doll clothes for her daughters and found joy in creating by hand.
For more than 70 years, Beulah was a devoted member of Old Victoria Tabernacle, where she served as superintendent of Sunday School. She played the piano for children’s singing and led music groups in local nursing homes as part of her longtime volunteer work. Her dedication extended to many years of service with Cancer Action, where she was recognized with awards for her commitment. Above all, she cherished time with her family as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister.
Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Ahart; her parents, Henry and Edith Flaugher; her siblings, Ruby Hawken, Barney Flaugher, Dorothy Vaughn, Oma Miller, Rosa Lea Stewart, Billy Flaugher, Bertha Belle, and Bobby Gene Flaugher; her grandson, Quinton McDonnell; and her great-grandson, Jonathon Dunfee Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Michael) McDonnell and Debra (Calvin) Burgess; her grandchildren, Melissa (David) Kirkpatrick, Brandon Ahart, Ronald Burgess, Kimberly (Jon) Myers, and Christopher Burgess; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Harold Flaugher and Betty Helton; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
