She was born in Texarkana (Macedonia), Texas, where she built a life filled with love, compassion, and cherished memories.Bettye, was a devoted family woman, deeply committed to her two children, Zackery L. Jones and Tonya K. Jones Williams; grandchildren Kristin K. Jones and Kara L. Jones; and daughter-in-law, Debbie K. Jones. She was a Pillar of Strength and constant source of support, guiding her family with wisdom, patience and unwavering love.Bettye attended public school at Macedonia School District and was a graduate of Macedonia High School. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member.For most of her life, Bettye L. Jones lived in Texarkana, Texas except for the last two and half years when she moved to Cedar Hill, Texas her son and daughter-in-law. Bettye worked at Texarkana College as a custodian until she retired and started her own custodian service for several families in Texarkana.Bettye L. Jones was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wade D. Grady and Mary Grady; mother, Zenobia Grady; father, John H. Jones; sister, Muriel D. Bland Roy; aunts, Velma M. Washington and Prince Lee Brannon; nieces and nephews, Rhoda Bland Scott, Sheila Bland, Ronald W. Bland, Cecil Bland, Marc Roy; great-nephew, Quentin K. Bland; and many treasured friends.Bettye L. Jones is survived by daughter Tonya K. Jones Williams; son, Zackery L. Jones and his wife Debbie K. Jones; granddaughters, Kristin K. Jones and Kara L. Jones; nephew, Quintin Keith Bland; niece, Sheresa Bland; great-nieces and nephews, Teasha Bland Johnson, Sheika Bland Williams, Tamaka Bland, Benyon Bland, Ronnie Bland, and Willie Bland Hyman; along with a number of other relatives and friends.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
