Betty Mock

Betty Mock was born on January 6, 1934, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Charles Trantham and Madge Shoemake. She passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at Heritage Estates in Gering, Nebraska.

She is survived by her son, Mark Manz, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Russell Mock, and her daughters April Maio, Johanna McCarthy, and Holly Trout.

Known for her spirited nature, Betty was deeply loved for being exactly who she was. She cherished ranch life and spent many years living on a ranch in Texas with Russell. Proud of her Cherokee Nation heritage, she carried that connection with her throughout her life. She also found great meaning in volunteering at the Mission in Alliance, Nebraska, and took quiet pride in the work she did there. She will be dearly missed.

In accordance with her wishes, her ashes will be spread in Texas.
