Betty Marie Blackford Lowe of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Aubrey Brown Blackford and Rosa Lee Harlow Blackford, was born on June 10, 1940 in Logan County, Kentucky and passed away on March 13, 2026 at Grandview Nursing Home at the age of 85.
A woman of quiet faith, Betty made a profession of faith in Christ and remained a devoted member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder. She worked for many years at Peoples Bank before retiring. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched with warmth and love.
Betty was united in marriage to Edmond E. Lowe on March 15, 1960. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1994.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jeff Gumm of Campbellsville; her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Robin Lowe of Greensburg; four grandsons, Jeffrey Gumm and Elizabeth of Bowling Green, Josh Gumm and Maddie of Campbellsville, Christopher Lowe and Ashley of Greensburg, and Austin Lowe of Louisville; seven great-grandchildren, Emery, Emmett, Eleanor, Audrey, and Amelia Gumm, and Knox and Briggs Lowe; her sister, Mae Walters of Bonnieville; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Aubrey Blackford Jr., her sister, Shirley Parson, and two half-sisters, Mabel Brown and Christine Allen.
