Betty Louise Yount, age 97, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Missouri. She was remembered by all who knew her as the kindest and most unselfish person, a beautiful soul both inside and out.
Born on July 6, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Betty was the daughter of Tony L. “Ted” and Grace B. Seabaugh Dolle. A devoted Christian, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She possessed a deep love for music and served as pianist at her church for 78 years, generously sharing her talent for services, weddings, funerals, and revivals. A talented seamstress, she took great pride in making clothes for her family, and she quietly supported her loved ones with unwavering faith and a positive outlook throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Grace Dolle; her husband, Don Yount; her sister, Norma Fadler; and brothers-in-law, Bill Fadler and Glen Mungle.
Betty is survived by her children, Michael (Doug Eichman) Yount and Pam (Mike) Poston; grandchildren Sarah Louise Perez, Andrew Michael (Chelsea) Poston, and Patrick Evan (Julie) Poston; great-grandchildren Jackson Oliver Perez, Sophia Grace Perez, Michael Asher Perez, Wesley Evan Poston, Remington Castino Poston, Charleston Grace Poston, and Fallon Kay Poston; her sister, Anna Lee Mungle; and several nieces and nephews.
