"Meme" Betty Louise Kamen

Betty L. Kamen, 88, of Russellville, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Born on January 27, 1938, in Hobart Mills, California, to the late Thomas Ernest and Elsie Marie (Nelson) Craig, she brought warmth and creativity to everyone who knew her.

Meme was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished for her exceptional cooking and her talent for decorating. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Argie Ray Hickey; her sister, Helen Berry; two grandsons, Blake Ashley and Jared Stokes; and her son-in-law, Robert Ashley.

She is survived by her husband, David Kamen; her daughters, Mari-Lou Ashley and Jeani Ane Ison; her son, Alan Hickey; her grandchildren, Melissa Ashley (Matthew Wilgenbush), Erika Stokes (Alfred Torres), James (Bethany) Tarbat, Jannette (Danny) Brickey, Jillian Ison, Jaret Ison, Elena Hickey, Paige (Brent) Tillery, and Alexander Hickey; and her great-grandchildren, Cassidee, Myla, Madden, Parker, Connor, Banner, Jettson, Jovi, Calder, Millie, Ollie, Liam, Rowan, and Taylor. She is also survived by her sister, Eleanor Hamblin, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry her memory with love.
