Betty Rodriguez ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Eckols Funeral Home, Inc. on Mar. 5, 2026.Betty Lou Rodriguez, beloved mother of seven sons, passed away peacefully at the age of 66 on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Betty was born on May 3, 1959 in Kenedy, Texas to Saturnino Sr. and Adelina Rodriguez. She was proceeded in death by her husband Guadalupe Rodriguez, both of her parents, along with siblings Ernest Rodriguez, Reynaldo Rodriguez, Adelina Kern, and Raul Rodriguez. Betty is survived by seven children, Lucio (Carrol) Rodriguez, Joe (Kimberly) Rodriguez, Martin (Carol) Rodriguez, David (Alice) Rodriguez, Mikey (Amanda) Rodriguez, Paul (Amanda) Rodriguez, Abel (Debra) Rodriguez. She is also survived by nine siblings, Yolanda Rodriguez, Lupe Torres, Saturnino (Joanne) Rodriguez Jr, Frances Prieto, Connie Aguero, Josie (Demetrio) Sosa, Geneva Rodriguez, Reymundo Rodriguez, 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren with one on the way. Betty shared her life with her best friend and husband, Guadalupe, and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. When she watched TV, everyone knew it would be Gunsmoke or any western show. She loved to cook for her family while listening to music and nobody can make tamales like her. She attended many bus trips to casinos and loved going to bingo with her sisters or her sons.Visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2026 from 9 am to 10 am with a Rosary and Service at 10am at Eckols Funeral Home in Kenedy, Tx. Internment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Kenedy.Pallbearers include Cruzito Medina, Michael Rodriguez, Miklo Medina, Paul Rodriguez Jr., Jayden Rodriguez, Xavier Rodriguez, Kaison Rodriguez and Emmitt Rodriguez.Honorary Pallbearers include Elliott Rodriguez, and all grand and great-grandchildren.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
