Fort Thomas, KY
Betty Lee Kersker, affectionately known as “Pete,” passed away on March 13, 2026, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Born Betty Lee Wuermli on June 1, 1928, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she lived a full life centered on her deep devotion to family, her passion for dance, and a quiet, enduring kindness that touched everyone around her.
As a dance teacher, Miss Betty inspired generations of students with her love of movement and her warm, encouraging spirit. Her teaching was more than a career; it was a reflection of her genuine delight in nurturing creativity and confidence in others.
Above all, Betty found her greatest joy in her family. She poured her heart into raising her children and grandchildren, offering them steady love, support, and quiet pride in their every accomplishment. She remained closely connected with loved ones near and far, skillfully using Facebook, her iPhone, and iPad to stay involved in their lives and share in the simple joys of the younger generations.
She is survived by her sons Clifford Kersker (Ann Bartels) and Peter Kersker (Traci Miller), grandchildren Casey, Katie, Brian, Sean, Molly, Rebecca, Amanda, Josh, and Nathan, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and a wide circle of beloved family members and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her father, Leo Wuermli; her mother, Rose Wuermli (née Loshinger); her husband, Bernard Kersker; her daughter, Vicky Mushaben; and her sister, June Eschmeyer.
