Betty L. Benner

Betty L. Benner passed away in Kalamazoo, Michigan on March 10, 2026. Born on June 20, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, she was a longtime resident of Kalamazoo. She was the daughter of Adaline Ayotte and Leon Anderson, both of whom preceded her in death.

Betty was the devoted wife of Donald R. Benner. They shared 53 years of marriage until his passing in January 2011. She is survived by her two children, daughter Paula (Steve) Zahakaylo of Lake Villa, Illinois, and son Mark (Shannon) Benner of Byron Center, Michigan, as well as four grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Emily Benner, and Steven Zahakaylo.

Services will be held in Kalamazoo, with burial at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
